"The Monkey Song"
Lyrics By Colin Biddle

(Jungle noises)

Deep in the jungle of society
A little guy sits, blasting his horn
Underneath a papia tree
And never will you hear him mourn

!Aye querumba! What is this?
It's like a threat to eternal bliss
This guy slips by without a hitch
And I bet it's been awhile since he said b*$#@

But don't count him out my friend
Because in a crowded room he won't blend
Maybe he's quiet but on a solid path
And in case you hadn't known, he's good at math

It's a monkey, but don't fear
It's the good kind, you won't shed a tear
For god's sakes we hope he won't play xyllophone
Right now he's happy tuning his mellophone

So maybe, he has a unibrow
And possibly, he's a little short
But it's funny to see him bow
And his dad will sue the pants off of you in court

He's a dedicated member of the band geeks
To normal people, he's just one of the freaks
Not that we take offense to that
Somebody ask Jerry where he keeps his clubbing bat

BEGIN INTERLUDE
(In the music video when I'm rich and famous and this song is on the airwaves everywhere, this point will have a short interlude where Jerry guest stars with a baseball bat beating up a joc who hates band geeks)
END INTERLUDE

I'm sorry monkey, to use this song
As a chance to get across what's going wrong
But I know you'll agree I'm "doin' goods"
So in public band geeks don't all have to wear hoods

It's a monkey, but don't fear
It's the good kind, you won't shed a tear
For god's sakes we hope he won't play xyllophone
Right now he's happy tuning his mellophone

Alright now, it's the final verse
We draw close, to the end
Monkey probably knows it could be a lot worse
Like how I chose to whip out something perverse

Alright my friend
It's the end
Of this monkey, blasting his horn
Underneath a papia tree
Where never will you hear him mourn

It's a monkey, but don't fear
It's the good kind, you won't shed a tear
For god's sakes we hope he won't play xyllophone
Right now he's happy tuning his mellophone (Repeat twice)
