In a mysterious phone call to each of them, two men are told to meet a person at the train station at eight A.M. Both follow through. At about 7:45, they notice a group of darkly clad men, who seem to be positioning themselves around the two. A woman walks into the station, and sees it. She warns the two men to run, but they don't. Instead, the group draws knives.

The two men quickly dispatch them, even capturing one. They almost miss the train, but they manage to get on and sit down. The woman, who introduced herself as Donna Gilden, knocks out the captive, then explains the two men's new job: To handle "the weird stuff" in another town about an hour away. They will be provided food, lodging, and whatever else the government feels that they will require. More "agents" will arrive soon.

After this shocking revelation, Donna begins to read a newspaper. The two men wait about twenty minutes for the captive to come to. He does, and they interrogate him. It seems that a large, shadowy figure hired him and the others to attack the newly hired party. After various other sundry questions, and another wait, they arrive at the town.

About ten minutes away from the train station is an old, delapidated-looking building, which the two are informed is their new home. They decide to investigate. A wise move, considering abnormally large rats and a group of local toughs have taken up residence there. After a quick scuffle that ends with the two men and Donna winning hands down, the ambulance is called for the fallen toughs, and one which was only unconscious was dragged into the prison cell.

From here, they rebuild the building. Security equipment is installed, rooms are cleaned up and fixed, lots of things are billed to the government's expense account, and, oddly enough, the old prison is revamped.

After about a week, when the building is livable, the group of three enjoy a meal at Mama Steve's Italian Restaurant, then visit a new zoo-like place that has opened, "The Worlds Most Dangerous Plants and Animals". While the two men are looking at an exhibit of giant spiders, one notices a shadowy figure flicking a switch and leaving through an emergency exit. He didn't have much time to think, however, as the panel between them and the spiders was released! Two large spiders attacked, one at each man. They managed to fend the vermin off, but not before being injured. So ends the first session...

Why is there a prison in this old building? Who is the shadowy figure who hired the thugs?
Good questions, both.
